About the SoCOE Alliance

The SoCOE Alliance includes 13 Directors and Deputy/Associate Directors of NCI Cancer Centers. The Alliance of Black Scientific COE Directors is now called the SoCOE Alliance Our Vision is an NCI Cancer Center ecosystem where COE influences the conduct of research and all efforts to reduce the burden of cancer in catchment areas across the country. The Alliance members have been learning from each other, strategizing, writing OpEds, peer reviewed publications and grants together since 2022. The SoCOE conference series is funded by NIH/NCI 1R13CA290996.

    Training community advocates to increase community preparation for research engagement & action

    Preparing early-stage investigators and those new to COE for leadership in NCI Cancer Centers

WHO WE SERVE

The Catchment Area served by Alliance members covers more than a dozen states and territories. Every population group is included in this combined catchment area map and is served by an Alliance members’ Comprehensive Cancer Center.
